Last Sunday Pop-Up with Flâneur Wines
Join us the last Sunday in November at GC Local to taste GC and Flâneur Wines! Flâneur Wines was founded in 2013 by Marty Doerschalg. We consider ourselves to be flâneurs at our core, passionate artisans joined together by the desire to slow down, enjoy life, observe the world, and create delicious wines. Our Winemaker, Anthony Sereni, crafts wines that are consciously technical yet spontaneously whimsical encouraging native fermentation with diverse use of barrels and a range of whole-cluster inclusion. The portfolio includes Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Traditional Method Sparkling as well as a small production of Aligoté, Pinot Meunier, Gamay, and Grüner Veltliner from our two organically dry farmed estates, La Belle Promenade Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and Flânerie Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA.

Last Sunday Pop Up with Ayres Vineyard
Join us on the last Sunday in October for a pop-up featuring Ayres Vineyard! We’re thrilled to open GC Local up and share our Portland location with another small winery.
Brad and Kathleen moved from Kansas City, Missouri, to Portland, Oregon in 2000. They had no house, no land, no jobs, and no plan.
Upon arriving in Oregon, Brad begins working as a cellar hand at Domaine Drouhin. He will soon work his way up to Chef du Cave. The same year of their manifest destiny, Brad and Kathleen have the opportunity to purchase 38 acres near Newberg, Oregon, with Kathleen’s parents, Don and Carol McClure – a site that would become Ayres Vineyard and a homestead for three generations of family.
Soon after closing on the property, the family gathers at the vineyard for Thanksgiving, and they decide on a Helen Keller quote to grace the opening page of their business plan: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
Last Sunday Pop-Up with Mijita Wines
Join us at the end of September for a wonderful night of tasting with Lizzy Esqueda and Mijita Wine Co!
Esqueda’s light winemaking touch includes allowing wild yeasts to trigger wine fermentations and using neutral oak barrels for aging. “I want to showcase the purity of the fruit that vineyard stewards work so hard to grow, not the oak barrel itself,” Esqueda said. The women in Esqueda’s family called her “mija” when she was growing up. Mija means “my daughter” or “honey” in Spanish, and Esqueda wanted to use the nickname to name her winery. Her wines honor the work in the vineyard, and are true representations of place and terroir.
